This development in mobile internet with Filipinos is due to the overseas trend fast catching up among them. Mobile internet in Philippines is still in its early stage for example, about three million subscribers account for the bulk of mobile Internet usage. The worldwide market of mobile internet grew 45.6% a year on year in the third quarter of 2011 according to the international data. There are around two million more subscribers with 3G feature phones or smart phones who are not yet regularly accessing the web on the go.
